1930s Remodel

I have been working with a local builder on an addition/remodel job for the past 8 months. We just completed the project, which included adding a new family room, powder room, kitchen, mudroom, laundry room and upstairs master suite to a 1930s colonial. They also added a beautiful covered porch and updated some of the interior features of the home such as trim work, door casings, floors and hardware.

My clients were so much fun to work with and they really liked "stepping out of the box" a little. One of my favorite features is the powder room sink. We used a live edge slab from a local mill (The Saw Mill Ltd.) for the countertop, added a copper sink and a channel spout faucet to make a unique statement for their beautiful powder room. (Please note: this photo was taken before the room was complete.)

In the kitchen, we selected a glass mosaic linear tile for the backsplash to complement the quartz countertop and wood stain on the island. The flecks of copper in the island are hard to see in the images, but they really add character and dimension.

We decided on another unique tile in the master bathroom...a "bubble" mosaic. It is perfect for a bathroom, and I love the colors.

Although, we worked on several other rooms in the home, these were some of the images that I thought really captured the new and updated look. A big thank you to my clients...I hope you really enjoy your beautiful home!
