Guest Room Update

Considering it has now almost been 2 years since I last posted....holy busy-town!...I thought I would share a few projects that I have had documented recently. This first one is a guest room that needed a little extra punch. Check out the antique Honduran bed that I used as a luggage rack. Such a great find!

Fresh Upholstery Makes All the Difference

I recently received a few items back from my fabulous upholsterer, and I have to say that I'm always in awe of how much life a fresh fabric can add to a piece of furniture. Reupholstering pieces can sometimes cost as much as buying a new piece of furniture. But, with great pieces like these below, we decided to spend a little less on the fabric in order to get a great new look. Check out the before and after shots below.

Making The Old New

I worked with a client recently that needed a few “fresh” changes to her new-to-her 1930s craftsman bungalow. So, we added some trim work in the dining room along with Thibaut’s Starbright wallpaper on the walls. Then, we used a few lively fabrics for the window seat, some pillows and window treatments. In the living room, we reupholstered two of her grandmother’s chairs in an updated fabric and selected a beautiful velvet for additional throw pillows.
