Raleigh Study

I’ve been working with a good friend of mine in Raleigh on a study. She wanted to achieve a space that was both functional (for her husband’s office) and aesthetically pleasing to the feminine eye as well. We started with this great desk as inspiration…

Then, we selected two chairs upholstered in a Duralee fabric.

Because the desk did not have much in terms of storage, we decided to have a custom window seat made in the beautiful bay window with file storage drawers built in.

More pictures and information to come once the project is complete!

Making The Old New

I worked with a client recently that needed a few “fresh” changes to her new-to-her 1930s craftsman bungalow. So, we added some trim work in the dining room along with Thibaut’s Starbright wallpaper on the walls. Then, we used a few lively fabrics for the window seat, some pillows and window treatments. In the living room, we reupholstered two of her grandmother’s chairs in an updated fabric and selected a beautiful velvet for additional throw pillows.

Nautical Nursery

I love working on projects for new babies…there is so much excitement attached to a new nursery. And, it’s fun to make sure that nursery doesn’t look like any other around.  This particular family wanted a nursery that had a nautical theme, but didn’t want anything to scream out “POTTERY BARN CATALOG”…so, we found subtle ways to make sure the theme was apparent while still making sure that little boy could grow into the room and use the decor in the future.
